Doing business with us
Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries’ Corporate Procurement department is responsible for acquiring run-the-business goods and services, including: gambling equipment, construction, facility support, hospitality, marketing, information technology, and professional services.
As the province’s wholesaler for liquor, we maintain a dedicated purchasing group for beverage alcohol. Please visit our Liquor Agents and Suppliers page for related information.
Our social values
We promote responsible and sustainable procurement by considering for each good or service:
- Quality, availability, price and functionality over its entire lifecycle;
- Environmental impacts such as resource conservation, environmental protection, and reduction of waste and pollution;
- Social aspects including workers’ rights, working conditions, poverty eradication, and capacity building.
Our goal is to support positive change along supply chains. We encourage you to review our Supplier Code of Conduct and contact us with any questions you may have regarding your ability to meet the requirements.
We operate under the principle that acquisitions should be fair, open, and transparent.
We think strategically, consolidating requirements across all units and establishing multi-year supply arrangements for common goods and services required regularly. Those required less frequently are obtained on an as-needed basis.
Wherever possible, acquisitions valued between $3,000 and $99,999 are conducted competitively by issuing a formal Request for Quotations or Request for Proposals, by invitation to interested suppliers.
Acquisitions valued at $100,000 or greater are advertised publicly through the MERX electronic tendering service and the Winnipeg Construction Association, depending on the nature of the requirements.
When required, we will issue directed tenders or work with suppliers on an individual basis when requirements are considered confidential, proprietary, or if there is a need for compatibility or continuity with existing goods or services.
Let’s get started
Are you interested in doing business with us? Begin by creating your supplier profile. Simply provide your contact information and identify your commodities or service areas. We will use this information to notify you of related opportunities. Creating a profile and keeping it up-to-date ensures that you will have access to opportunities; however, it is not a guarantee of business with us.
Have you previously responded to requests for quotations or proposals, or done business with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, Manitoba Lotteries, or the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission? We recommend you still create and maintain your supplier profile to ensure continued access to opportunities.
